Benefits of Window Replacements

If you have difficulty opening or closing your windows, this could be a sign that you need to replace the windows in your home. Other signs to look out for are if your windows are foggy, drafty, or have rotten frames. New windows can improve the energy efficiency of your home, improve the value of your home, as well as create a better curb appeal.

Here are some benefits for replacing your windows:

  • Home Security: With older windows, they are usually easier to open because of a rotten frame.Newer windows have been tested for forced entry and come with advanced locking mechanisms.
  • Increase Your Home’s Worth: Window replacement is a good investment because it will increase your resale value when it’s time to sell your home. There are multiple frames and styles that you can select from that will also create more curb appeal.
  • Lower maintenance: Most new windows are designed to be low maintenance. New windows make it easier to clean while letting fresh air into your home.
  • Noise Reduction: You won’t have to listen to all that loud noise from the outside because new windows reduce a lot of sound that comes into your home from the outside.

Composite Decking

Composite decking is a low maintenance alternative to wooden decks. These types of decks have a much longer lifespan than the usual wood decks; composite material is made from recycled wood fibers and recycled plastic. Composite decking is considered one of the most durable types of decks available today.

Unlike wooden decks, with composite decks you won’t have to stain, sand, seal, or do board replacement. Another advantage to composite decking is that you won’t have to worry about mold growing and insects gnawing composite like wood decks. Since there is no real wood with composite decking, you won’t have to worry about getting splinters either!

There is also minimal fading to composite decks and the only care that would really need to be done with a composite deck is a quick wash with soap and water.

Trex is an eco-friendly manufacturer that provides durable and easy maintenance composite material. Azek is another company that offers capped wood composite that is also easy to maintain and mold resistance. Most manufacturers offer either a 25-year or lifetime warranty on their composite products.
