Benefits of Pella Windows

Pella has been in the windows field for almost 100 years. With this consistency and expert craftsmanship, Pella has increased its reach from a small town in Iowa, to all over the United States. This expertise has created some of the best products on the market. Let’s take a closer look at some of the benefits of having Pella Windows and what it can do for your home.

Increased Home Value: With Pella windows, you will find that if you decide to sell your home, there is a good chance that the windows will pay themselves off about 70% or higher. This means that the investment will be worth it if you are planning on selling in the future.

Energy Efficient: One of the biggest things we have seen is the move towards more energy efficient homes. This is not only beneficial to you but to the environment as well. With new technology, Pella, along with others, have been able to trap the air inside your home, as opposed to letting it out through cracks. This means that in the winter, your home will stay warmer, and in the summer, your home will be cooler, without infiltration from outside. This allows for less energy to be used during those times, meaning less cost for you and less energy used.

Safety: With newer technologies comes more safety as well. Pella windows pride themselves on being some of the safest on the market.

Aesthetic: Pella are some of the most aesthetically pleasing windows out there, and this quality really adds to the benefit of the product. Not only are they beautiful, but they truly are some of the best windows out there.

fiber cement siding

Benefits of Fiber Cement Siding

While fiber cement siding is not as well known in the Northeast, it can be extremely beneficial for your home for many reasons. At Three Sons Window & Door, we have James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding, which is known for being one of the best made in the country. Let’s look at some of the advantages of installing fiber cement siding in your home.

Weatherability

This siding material is known for being extremely durable under even the worst of conditions. From humidity to constant rain, fiber cement can protect your home from any of the problems associated with this kind of weather. In the Northeast and New England in general, we find that the weather is a little more violent than in other parts of the United States. For this reason, we find that fiber cement is actually a great way to avoid water damage and broken pieces of siding from wind and extreme snowfall.

Reduced Maintenance Costs

Since this material is so great under different circumstances, it is less likely to break or crack, meaning that you will not have to repair it very often at all. This helps to reduce unwanted maintenance that may come from a lower grade material. Similarly, while fiber cement is slightly more expensive than other sidings, it weighs itself out with the reduction in maintenance cost.

Better for the Environment

With all this being said, this material can last an extremely long time, and because of this, it is less likely to end up in a landfill. This leaves the environment in better shape as a result.

Home Siding Transformation in Allston, MA

Recently, we finished up on a gorgeous remodeling project on a home in Allston, MA. The makeover comes after many years of wear and tear on the home. While looking at the home for the initial consultation, we truly realized the amount of potential this home had. From the incredible balconies to the light-bringing windows all over the home, we knew that this was a project we were excited to take on head first.

About the Project

This project was completed by utilizing a few different products that we carry for projects. The first was the siding, which was James Hardie Siding in Evening Blue. This dark blue was a brilliant contrast to the bright white trim around the house, as well as providing a counterpoint to the beautiful windows covering the home.

We also utilized Therma-Tru Doors and AZEK Building Products decking and railings to truly make this home pop. This bright white truly makes a difference for this home and will continue to look brand new for many, many years. The remodeling project that was done in this house will make this home absolutely stand out as being top-notch in Allston, MA.

This James Hardie Siding Will Stand Up To New England Weather

Many homeowners select James Hardie for many reasons but being low maintenance is usually one of the top reasons. James Hardie siding holds in heat and air conditioning much better than most sidings, as well as continues to protect your home against the violent weather of New England. People in New England know that this is a game changer for them, as the weather is very dynamic.

Window Transformation in Andover, MA

Recently, our team had finished up a beautiful window transformation of a home on the North Shore of Massachusetts, in the Heart of New England. The contractors did a gorgeous job of utilizing their specialty skills to install these shining, bright windows to the exterior & interior of the home.

What Kind of Window?

andover windowsThe contractors on the job installed two different styles of the window, the Harvey Building Products Majesty Windows, and Pella Architect Windows. Both of these products were created with the utmost of craftsmanship, and with the most high-quality products on the market.

Harvey Building Products has an amazing track record, as they have been selling replacement windows, alongside other elements of a home, such as doors, since 1960. We entrusted this brand of windows for many reasons. While they serve both homeowners and contractors, such as ourselves, they provide a consistency that is hard to beat. With over 50 years of experience, Harvey BP was the perfect person for the job, and they really did the incredible job that we had expected.

Pella, on the other hand, has a similar experience with replacement windows, as they have been working in the window manufacturing field since as far back as the early 1950’s. This almost 75 years’ worth of experience is crucial to the process and makes for the most excellent, high-quality items that you can install in your home.

Why Get New Windows?

Aesthetic

This style window really adds something, whether it is added to the front or back of a home, as having more views of the beautiful landscaping from the inside looks great. From the exterior of the home, bay windows really give an additional curb appeal unlike any other.

Comfortability

These are the perfect products to use in New England, as there are harsh winters and hot/humid summers. This makes for the perfectly comfortable, secure and energy efficient window. While a window is supposed to keep out the cold in the winter and keep the cold in, in the summer, these windows help by creating a true barrier between your home and the outside. This can help to cut down on many costs, including heat, AC, and energy.
